At the time of writing this post the latest information I know is saffron is bought by Microsoft and Sam is now inactive on the web. Some believe saffron is still in development mode and the alpha version is getting ready. Some question how much time it will take to release atleast an alpha version.

I have seen Sam( SamuelAgesilas) twittering about saffron on 25th june 08 for the last time. May be, he is planning out some thing really amazing. I have been waiting for saffron since August 2007, yet could got only few screen shots. When will Sam think of releasing it – or he is with microsoft now to revamp it in silverlight ?

We’re still waiting for saffron to come back online. In mean time, I found a new smaller project call BeoModeler (www.beotic.org). It looks pretty.
